Tampa has the big New Year's Eve productions, the ones with a wristband, a ticket tier and a shuttle. If you would rather sit down, laugh for two hours and drive home without a parking garage queue, the Gandy Bridge drops you into Pinellas Park in half an hour.
From South Tampa, take the Gandy Bridge west; Gandy Boulevard becomes Park Boulevard in Pinellas Park, then go north on 66th Street to 102nd Avenue North. From downtown or Westshore, I-275 south over the Howard Frankland Bridge to Roosevelt Boulevard or Ulmerton Road west, then 66th Street south. Plan on about 30 to 40 minutes outside rush hour. Free parking in the gym's own lot.
Crossing the bay on December 31 is the trick: you leave Tampa's party traffic behind and land in a quiet part of Pinellas County with a free lot. South Tampa and Westshore are closest. Plan the drive home around the bridges, and if you are making a night of it, the hotels along Ulmerton Road and Roosevelt Boulevard near the Gateway area are ten minutes from the gym.
Seating is first come, first served, ringside chairs first and risers behind, so come early. The bar is cash and card. Comedy is adult content and the age policy for the show is posted before tickets go on sale. No recording during the sets, and the venue is a working boxing gym, so stay out of the training areas unless staff wave you in. See the terms of sale for the fine print.
About 20 miles from downtown Tampa. The Gandy Bridge from South Tampa takes about 30 minutes; the Howard Frankland from Westshore or downtown about 35 to 40 minutes outside rush hour.
Yes. The Laughing Gorilla at Battle Zone Boxing in Pinellas Park is a seated six-comedian stand-up show on December 31, 2026 with a cash bar and free parking. Tickets go on sale November 1 at laughinggorilla.com.
There are chain hotels along Ulmerton Road and Roosevelt Boulevard near the Gateway area and the St. Pete-Clearwater airport, all about 10 minutes from the gym.
