Downtown St. Pete does New Year's Eve big, and that is exactly the problem. Central Avenue is a crush, the Pier area is a parking nightmare, and every rooftop is a ticketed package. Twenty minutes up I-275 there is a comedy show with six comedians, chairs with your name on them, and a free parking lot.
From downtown St. Pete, take I-275 north to the Gandy Boulevard exit, head west on Gandy, which becomes Park Boulevard, then north on 66th Street to 102nd Avenue North. From the north side of town, 66th Street or US-19 north straight to Park Boulevard is just as quick. Plan on about 20 to 25 minutes outside rush hour. Free parking in the gym's own lot.
The ride from St. Pete runs against the downtown traffic on December 31, and Pinellas Park is far enough out that rideshares back are not fighting the Central Avenue surge. If you are coming from the Gateway or Carillon area you are practically already here.
Seating is first come, first served, ringside chairs first and risers behind, so come early. The bar is cash and card. Comedy is adult content and the age policy for the show is posted before tickets go on sale. No recording during the sets, and the venue is a working boxing gym, so stay out of the training areas unless staff wave you in. See the terms of sale for the fine print.
About 12 miles, or 20 to 25 minutes via I-275 north and Gandy Boulevard outside rush hour.
The closest seated stand-up show for December 31, 2026 is The Laughing Gorilla at Battle Zone Boxing in Pinellas Park, about 20 minutes from downtown St. Pete. Headliner Joey B, featured comedian Goopman and a four-comedian showdown. Tickets on sale November 1.
Yes, it is about 10 minutes from Carillon via Roosevelt Boulevard or Ulmerton Road.
