Privacy policy

This policy explains what Battle Zone Boxing ("we", "us"), the producer of The Laughing Gorilla, collects when you use laughinggorilla.com and buy tickets, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to sell you a ticket and let you in the door, we don't sell it, and we don't run ad trackers.
What we collect
- When you buy a ticket: your first and last name, email address, phone number if you choose to give it, the tickets you ordered, any promo code you used, and the amount paid.
- Payment details: your card is entered into a form provided by Stripe and goes straight to Stripe. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card, never the full number.
- At the door: the time your ticket's QR code was scanned.
- Automatically: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time). We use these for security and to keep the site working. This site does not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels or social-media trackers. Stripe may set a cookie on its own checkout form for fraud prevention.
- When you email us: whatever you include in the message.
How we use it
- To process your order, email your tickets and a receipt, and scan you in at the door.
- To contact you about the show you bought tickets for, such as a time change, postponement or cancellation and any refund that follows.
- To prevent fraud and duplicate ticket use.
- To tell you about future Laughing Gorilla shows. Every such email tells you how to stop them, and you can email us at any time to opt out. We do not send marketing text messages.
- To keep the records that tax, accounting and payment-network rules require.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the show:
- Stripe processes payments and handles card data under its own privacy policy.
- Aftershock Network, Inc. builds and hosts this website and the ticketing system on our behalf and processes your data only on our instructions.
- Our email delivery provider sends your tickets and receipts.
- Law enforcement or courts, if we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, generally seven years. Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted. If you ask us to stop emailing you about future shows, we keep your address only on our do-not-contact list.
Your choices
- Email us to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will delete everything we are not legally required to keep.
- Email us or use the link in any show announcement to stop receiving emails about future shows. You will still get emails about an order you have already placed.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, card data never touches our servers, and access to order records is limited to the people who run the show. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.
Children
Our shows and this website are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
